Miki Miyashita doesn’t have a commercial art book, but she has more than enough work to have released multiple art book-sized doujinshi. RAISONNE III released during Comic Market 69 during Winter 2005. Although it’s a few years old, I bought it after last year’s impressive illustration collection, RAISONNE IV.

RAISONNE III is a small-sized, hard cover book. It’s A5 in height, but more square-shaped than most books of that size. The 74 pages count the covers, but not the blank buffer pages inside. It’s mostly color with a few pages of rough sketches and monochrome illustrations.

The illustrations in RAISONNE III are from as early as 2002 up to 2005. Due to the consistency in style, none of the illustrations look old. The cover arts for nearly all the doujins she illustrated during that period are in here. That includes several Saber from Fate/Stay Night art works along with Mahou Sensei Negima!

One of my favorite things about Miki Miyashita’s illustrations are her Lolita-style dress designs. They always include excessive amounts of ruffles and lace. Another thing that makes her work stand out are the empty eyes that she gives her characters. It reminds me of the look anime characters have when hypnotized.

There is lot of fan art in RAISONNE III. There are multiple illustrations from Fate/Stay Night and Mahou Sensei Negima. We also have single illustrations from ClannadMaria-sama ga MiteruD.C. Da CapoDi Gi CharatFullmetal Alchemist, and probably more that I’m not recognizing.

The monochrome section at the end of the book is 22 pages long. About half of those are sketches, and the other half are black and white illustrations. There is some nudity through out the book, but it’s not very noticeable or frequent.

As an older doujinshi, it may be difficult to find but if you’re a fan, it’ll be worth it.
